For starters, a major change on Symphony is the removal of the Neptune Pool, the aft pool adjacent to the Trident Bar & Grill, on Deck 12. The pool has been replaced with ample seating on top of wood decking. The dining tables and chairs are very comfortable and attractive. This area will be used for extra dining space, lounging space and ship events. A retractable roof adds flexibility. Passengers sailing to Montreal this week may get a bit chilly, and this is a nice place to relax and read on sea days. The Main pool has the addition of a very beautiful, large jacuzzi that can hold many guests.

Cafe really is spectacular. The decor is extremely classic yet modern, open and stylish. There are several areas to dine that give the feel of being in different areas of the ship. The outdoor patio is lovely with big bright red umbrellas. The newly refurbished specialty restaurants are both winners. Silk Road is gorgeous, and large for a ship this size. Prego is also brand new decorated in reds and earth tones. Reservations can be made on board or prior to boarding only if the cruise is paid in full 120 days prior to sailing. This is one good reason to pay for your cruise early.

The staterooms are appointed in lovely, calming tones which are enhanced by magnificant varnished wood in the Penthouse Suites. The bathrooms are pure white with marble countertops, double sinks and tubs in every stateroom.

The two sister ships of Crystal are showing their ages beautifully - as all women of a certain class do. Becuase it is not just her "hardware" which has shown a new skin, but the "software" created by Crystal and can not be beat for large ship luxury cruising.
